With digital technology, the dive is just the beginning of the fun you can have with underwater photography. Digital imaging software makes it possible to eliminate many of the problems that arise with underwater photography specifically (back scatter, color shifts, etc.) and with photography in general (exposure issues, poor composition, focus errors, etc.). In this book, Jack and Sue Drafahl guide you through the process step by step, using Adobe Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) to correct common flawsƒ?ø??and even some not-so-common ones like processing errors and scratched negatives. Finally, they show you how to share your images with friends around the world via the Internet, or at home with dazzling slide shows.

Neophytes will not get snowed with jargon and technicalities. The Drafahls draw on what they've learned in preparing hundreds of magazine articles and lectures on the underwater world. Immersed All aspects of underwater digital imaging -are discussed in this well-illustrated book. Sport Diver Readers can learn how to eliminate back scatter, understand resolution and image quality, enhance fluorescence and macro photography, and archive and catalog images for safe storage and easy access.
